Introducing BrowZine

by Systems Librarian on 2020-10-01T07:28:13-04:00 | Comments

The library is pleased to offer Marine Corps University faculty and students access to our scholarly journals through BrowZine and LibKey: https://browzine.com/libraries/2289.

With BrowZine, you can:

  • Browse and read journals: Browse journals by subject, easily review tables of contents, and download full articles.
  • Stay current with My Bookshelf: Create a personal bookshelf of titles to follow and receive new article notifications.
  • Access material on any device: Easily access BrowZine from your iOS and Android device and on the web to stay up to date wherever you are.
  • Save and export articles: Use the BrowZine app to save articles for off-line reading or export to services such as DropBox, Mendeley, RefWorks, EndNote, Zotero, Papers and more.

If you have a DOI or PMID and want to see if it is in our collection, use LibKey to check library access and get one-click access to the PDF if we have it electronically: https://libkey.io/libraries/2289.

For home use and personal devices:

  • BrowZine has an app for Android and iOS. They are available in the app stores now.
  • LibKey Nomad is a browser extension for Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Brave and Vivaldi browsers. LibKey Nomad connects researchers to library-licensed and open access full text articles referenced on scholarly websites like PubMed, Wikipedia and publisher pages. Download Nomad: https://thirdiron.com/downloadnomad/

Although it provides access to thousands of titles from major academic publishers, BrowZine does not include every journal available at the Library of the Marine Corps or cover issues published before 2005. It also does not include non-scholarly periodicals such as newspapers, magazines, and trade publications. Access to the Libraries’ complete periodical holdings is available via the Library Catalog.
