Situation:
USINDOPACOM continues to conduct operations in the combined joint operations area Indolaysia (IL) under the named OPERATION PACIFIC CHALLENGE. USINDOPACOM exercises control of OPERATION PACIFIC CHALLENGE operations through Combined Joint Task Force-Indolaysia (CJTF-IL). Operations are on-going. The CJTF-IL has effectively defeated IL forces on the Malay Peninsula with remnants of the IL 4th Div currently surrounded by the USA’s I Corps. IL forces reconstituted and reinforced on Sumatra Island, in position to enforce control of the Freedom of Navigation in the Strait of Malacca and maintain control of Singapore as sovereign IL territory.
Key Tasks:
- Defeat IL forces in Singapore.
- Disrupt reinforcement of IL forces on SI and within the SoM.
- Defeat IL efforts to control the SoM.
- BPT to support the rapid restoration of ground lines of communication (GLOCs) and critical APOD and SPOD infrastructure in Singapore.
End State:
IL forces unable to effectively disrupt FoN in the SoM, IL deterred from future aggression in the SoM, key GLOCs, APODs and SPODs in Singapore able to support stability and relief efforts, and CJTF-IL forces postured and ready to support stability and humanitarian relief efforts in Singapore.
