Components and Format

The content of Command Chronologies will vary somewhat with the functions and composition of the reporting organization. However, the Command Chronology consists of four standard sections that inform and compliment each other. Each section is mandatory. Command chronologies submitted without all four sections are considered incomplete. 

• Section I - Organization Data  - consists of front signature page and basic organizational data
   
• Section II - Narrative Summary - consists of written narrative covering unit experiences 
   
• Section III - Sequential Listing of Significant Events - includes the details of the significant events
  that occurred during the reporting period
   
• Section IV - Supporting Documents - includes documents and reports that amplify, clarify and/or complete
  understanding of the narrative summary
